Our Story

We met while attending a Seattle Seahawk game in September 1987. A year later, we were planning a wedding of our own. After being married on May 5 1988, we began working towards our dream of opening a Sporting Goods shop in town.  Karen's Tackle Emporium opened its doors in the summer of 1993. We were proud of our growing business, Soon after, we found a new home and relocated to Union. The new land allowed us to try our hand at gardening and raising chickens. We love to visit the Canal and spend holidays with our relatives. We have made so many great memories and are always embarking on new adventures. We receive many requests for family updates, so we decided to create this website. We hope you will enjoy exploring our site and come back again. We hope to update this site often.
